How to read historical sports clues
Use the stated year, competition and metric to interpret sports statistics fairly.
The date belongs to the question
A record through a stated tournament is a historical snapshot. A later result does not change the answer to that original question. Check the period before choosing.
Compare like with like
In Higher / Lower, compare the named metric and scope: a season total is not a career total, and one competition is not all competitions.
Club sequences need context
Career Path shows selected senior spells. Loan dates can overlap a parent-club contract. Transfer Trail asks for a particular move, not a player’s current club.
Check the evidence
Use the source links included in the game. For a correction, record the wording, date and source together. This makes a factual disagreement easier to resolve.
